Measure 24-486 is our chance to come together as a community to build a safer, brighter future for our kids today and generations to come.
Three key reasons to vote YES for Silver Falls Schools
Safer, more secure schools
It’s our responsibility to do everything we can to help keep students safe and protect against threats like active shooters which have become all too common today. This bond will make our schools safer by updating security technology including additional cameras and automatic locking mechanisms. We need to know and control who has access to our schools.
The Middle School is Failing, And Failing Our Kids
It’s time. Silverton Middle School is a failing 60-80 year old building that has major safety, health and educational space issues. Did you know portions of the school are actually condemmed? The building is also a security nightmare with dozens of exterior entrances, modulars and an unsecured perimeter. It’s time to provide a safe, modern learning environment that meets the learning needs of students today with expanded spaces for programs like vocational/CTE hands on-learning.
A Bond For All: Invests in EVERY district school
Measure 24-486 funds repairs to major building systems at every school to extend their life and serve generations of children to come. These are critical repairs, not "extras": a new roof, plumbing, HVAC to address fire smoke or stopping water intrusion that causes black mold
